Quulo to have lower fares due to subscription model

Another ride-hailing contender, Quulo Ventures Sdn Bhd, has entered the fight for passengers’ preference, offering fares starting at RM1.

Quulo Ventures managing director Vinesh Nair said opting for a subscription model rather than taking a commission allowed them to set lower price fares while still ensuring drivers made a fair earning.

“Quulo enables drivers to pay only a subscription fee of RM4.99 per day on their first hit, the rest is pocketed by the driver without any commission charges,” he said, in a press statement.

He added the service had registered about 9,000 passengers and 6,500 drivers from Klang Valley, Penang and Sabah, and are aiming to sign up 12,500 drivers by May.

The service by Platform Apps Sdn Bhd is available on the Apple app store and the Google Play Store.
